Our Programs
Animal Tales: Choose a book from our selection and then learn about the animals in the story. This program includes a storybook reading and a live animal encounter. (Ages 3-5)
Crazy About Crocs: Learn about crocodilians from around the world and the importance of their conservation.
Predator VS. Prey: Discover the differences between animals that hunt and those that are hunted, as well as how animals have developed special skills to catch their prey or not be caught by a predator!
Amazing Animal Adaptations: Learn about the amazing adaptations animals have developed to survive in the wild.
Awesome Animals: Discover different animal habitats, survival strategies, conservation importance and fun facts.
Sssssnakes: Learn about different species of snakes and their importance to the environment.
Leapin' Lizards: Encounter different species of lizards and discover the world they live in.
Creepy Crawlies: Learn about those animals that make your skin crawl and why they're not as scary as you may think they are!
Virginia Natives: Meet some of the native animal of Virginia that you may encounter in your own backyard! Learn about their habitats and the importance of preserving them.
Create-Your-Own Outreach: Design your own outreach by choosing the animals you want to learn about. We will design a program to meet your needs!

Birthday Parties:
We're bringing the ZOO to YOU on your child's special day! Select one of our programs or design one on your own with our assistance. Your child will be an Assistant Zookeeper for the day! Program includes a 45-60 minute live animal encounter, animal arts & craft project and goodie bags. Ages 4 and up. $175 for up to 15 children. $5 for each additional child.

Schools:
Choose one of our programs or we will develop a program that corresponds with your curriculum. Classroom opportunities for grades K-12. Teacher packets with grade appropriate educational material are included with our Outreach Programs. Assemblies: $250 for up to 250 participants. Classroom: $125 for up to 30 participants and 1st class. $75 for each additional class.

Other Important Information:
- Programs greater than a 30 mile radius of Norfolk will be charged a mileage fee.
- Reservations are required at least two weeks in advance. A minimum $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a date.
- Cancellation Policy: Programs canceled or re-scheduled within less than 14 days before the scheduled program will be charged 50% of the total cost.
- Parents are to sign a hold harmless waiver and participation form.
